About Craig
A Needed Life is the first book to be published by author Craig Modahl. It is a very personal story driven by the life he shared with Kevin. While there may never be another story with the same amount of significance, Craig continues to seek new inspiration for his next literary endeavor. It took him 60 years to complete this first one. It may be a long wait for the next.
Craig received an MSW from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MDiv from the Chicago Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Sandy Modahl, DOT, founded a nonprofit organization that provides support services for people with developmental disabilities.
Over the years, Craig and Sandy have shared their home with many people with and without disabilities. Some have stayed for a few months and others for decades. They continue as caregivers in their everyday lives in Port Washington, WI deferring the inevitable complexities of an empty nest.
